Wilmington, NC

Wilmington is located in New Hanover County; this county is surrounded on two sides by water, the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Screen Gem Studios are two large factors in persons relocating to our area. The film industry is very important to our city and hundreds of movies have been filmed here over the past 20 years. Wilmington is growing at rapid pace and is now one of the largest port cities on the East Coast. Wilmington is also home to PPD, GE and New Hanover Regional Medical Center, three major employers.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is just over an hour and half drive south on Highway 17. One can reach the capital of North Carolina, Raleigh, in about two hours depending on traffic. The commute in Wilmington varies with season. Like any large city, morning and afternoon rush hours are heavier with travelers. For the most part, you can get to anywhere in the city limits in about 20 minutes.

Wrightsville Beach, NC

Located just three miles from Mayfaire Townview is the beach community of Wrightsville Beach. This coastal town consists of a series of barrier islands, a main interior island called Harbor Island and a four-mile-long stretch of white, sandy beach recognized as Wrightsville Beach. Other than its beautiful location, Wrightsville Beach is known for its large Southern-style beach homes. This area is considered to be a prestigious, upper-class community. Some great area activities include boating, sailing, diving, fishing, surfing, kayaking and biking.

The commute from Wrightsville Beach to Mayfaire is about 5 minutes. The island is only accessible by one large green drawbridge, which rises periodically throughout the day. Wrightsville Beach can always be reached by boat. During the summer months the population of travelers explodes on the island and the roads can be crowded but for the majority of the year the town is quite tranquil.
